It’s been a while, I know. I’m playing catch up from enjoying the summer. I hope your summer was as wonderful as mine ;-).

I kicked off my summer with the Sickels wedding. I first met Lisa & Danny back in April for their engagement shoot. We met up at Benton Spillway for some shots and luckily it wasn’t too cold for us, as most of us know it’s hit or miss here in Indiana for that time of the year. It took Danny a little while to warm up. He’s the quiet type, until you get to know him.

It wasn’t long that June 29th finally arrived and it was time to set the big day in motion. Danny had warmed up by now and was full of laughter and jokes all day. The rain held off just long enough for us to grab some quick group shots outside of Lisa & Danny’s house and before we knew it, it was TIME. We headed to the 112 Club in Elkhart where the wedding and reception took place. Lisa and Danny had an intimate ceremony with family and friends. It was obvious to all how much love they shared for each other. Nelson’s catered their reception, OMG yummy and the DJ kept us dancing the night away.

As you can see by the expressions on Lisa face, she is a hoot to be around. You couldn’t ask for a better “first bride”. I am so happy I was able to be a part of Lisa and Danny’s big day. I can’t wait to see you 2 for family photos in just a few weeks. Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Sickels!!!
