Spring Fashion | 2018 | Trends

Today is the perfect day for this blog because it is *officially* the first day of spring!

There are definitely a few up and coming trends I have noticed, and these are my favorites.

Starting with a classic. It’s actually okay to mix floral patterns/pieces if you do it right. The key is to keep either the colors and patterns consistent and to not wear them on top of each other, unless you are going for that look. That look can be done, I’ve seen it! This is just a basic, super cute way to start out.

Jumpsuits are the sundresses of early spring. You can throw them on and look totally put together. Pair it with cute sandals and a jacket for extra style points.

There’s no denying it, the 90s are coming back. They’re here. Mom jeans, sneakers, major cat eye glasses, chokers, you name it. Mom jeans usually look best with a shirt that comes above the waistline already, or is tucked in. Roll up the bottoms of your jeans to create emphasis on your sneaks too.

There’s something about that little tie at the side of your waist that fashion can’t get enough of right now. Since it pulls in your waist, you can choose to wear either wide leg or skinny leg pants and still look great. (This look in particular channels a late-spring afternoon picnic, if you couldn’t tell).

Greys and neutrals don’t have to be your main color pallette anymore—bring on the brights. Anything vibrant is the perfect way to make a statement and I’m pretty sure there’s like scientific evidence that brighter colors make you happier? I’m convinced.

What differentiates pastels from brights is that they’re muted. This is also a spring staple that is around every year. They’re actually pretty versatile, in the sense that you can mix and match them and they still look awesome.

Happy first day of spring, y’all!
